Paris Gentle Mates are still alive at CDL Major IV. After FaZe Vegas forced a deciding fifth map with a dominant Hardpoint performance, the hometown squad responded emphatically, winning Fringe Search and Destroy 6-2 to clinch the series 3-2 and eliminate FaZe from the tournament.

Paris set the tone immediately, taking the opening two rounds before FaZe got on the board to cut the deficit to 2-1. The French organization quickly regained control, extending the lead to 3-1 before FaZe once again answered to make it 3-2 and briefly threaten a comeback.

That would prove to be FaZe's final round of the series. Paris slammed the door shut with three consecutive round wins, taking complete control of the Search and Destroy to secure a convincing 6-2 victory. JoeDeceives finished with eight eliminations and three first bloods, while Ghosty added seven kills as Paris comfortably closed out the deciding map.

The victory sends Paris Gentle Mates into the Lower Bracket Final, where they will face the loser of the Winners Final between Los Angeles Thieves and OpTic Texas. For FaZe Vegas, the defeat brings an end to an impressive lower bracket run and their CDL Major IV campaign.

Los Angeles Thieves Sweep OpTic Texas, Advance to the CDL Major IV Grand Final

Final Series: Los Angeles Thieves 3-0 OpTic Texas

Los Angeles Thieves are the first team through to the CDL Major IV Grand Final after edging OpTic Texas 6-5 on Scar Overload to complete a 3-0 sweep in the Winners Final. While the scoreline suggests a comfortable victory, every map was fiercely contested, with the deciding Overload coming down to the final moments.

OpTic Texas made the brighter start, racing into a 2-0 lead before Los Angeles answered with back-to-back rounds to level the score. The momentum continued to swing throughout the first half, with OpTic reclaiming a 3-2 advantage before the Thieves stole the final engagement before halftime to take a narrow 4-3 lead.

The second half proved just as dramatic. OpTic fought back to level the map at 4-4 before taking a 5-4 lead and moving within a single round of extending the series. Los Angeles, however, responded under pressure, winning the next two rounds to complete another comeback and secure a 6-5 victory on the deciding round.

Abezy led the Thieves with 35 eliminations and an eight-kill streak, helping Los Angeles close out the sweep and book their place in the Grand Final. OpTic Texas now drops into the Lower Bracket Final, where they will meet Paris Gentle Mates for the final spot in the championship match.

OpTic Texas Eliminate Paris Gentle Mates, Set Up Grand Final Rematch with LA Thieves

Series: OpTic Texas 3-0 Paris Gentle Mates

OpTic Texas are headed to the CDL Major IV Grand Final after completing a 3-0 sweep over Paris Gentle Mates in the Lower Bracket Final. Despite the support of the home crowd, Paris couldn't complete the comeback as OpTic closed out Scar Overload 3-2 to punch their ticket to the championship match.

OpTic struck first by taking the opening point before Estreal responded with a successful detonation to level the score at 1-1. The Green Wall quickly regained control, taking a 2-1 lead into halftime after a disciplined first half.

Paris threatened to swing the momentum after halftime, with Sib going on an impressive seven-kill streak to help his team level the map at 2-2. OpTic refused to panic, however, immediately answering with another successful push to reclaim the lead before shutting down Paris' final attack to secure the deciding point and the series.

Shotzzy finished with 31 eliminations, while Mercules and Dashy added 26 apiece in another complete team performance. Sib was outstanding in defeat with 36 eliminations and a seven-kill streak, but Paris' remarkable lower bracket run comes to an end in front of the home crowd.

With the victory, OpTic Texas advance to the CDL Major IV Grand Final, where they'll get an immediate opportunity for revenge against Los Angeles Thieves after falling 3-0 earlier in the day. Paris Gentle Mates are eliminated from the tournament after an inspiring run that captivated the Paris crowd.

OpTic Texas have completed an incredible comeback to win CDL Major IV.

After trailing 3-2 in the series and facing elimination, OpTic Texas completed an incredible comeback by winning the final two maps to defeat Los Angeles Thieves 4-3 and claim the CDL Major IV championship. The deciding Gridlock Search & Destroy was all OpTic, who raced to a commanding lead before closing out the map 6-1 to lift the trophy in front of a roaring Paris crowd.

Dashy was named Major IV MVP after another outstanding tournament, once again proving why many fans consider him one of the most dependable players in Call of Duty esports. His consistency throughout the event and composure in the biggest moments helped power OpTic to another Major title.

The Grand Final had everything. OpTic opened with a dominant Hardpoint, Los Angeles Thieves responded by winning three of the next four maps to move within one map of the championship, only for OpTic to battle back once again. A dramatic 250-243 Hardpoint victory forced a winner-take-all Map 7, where OpTic never looked back.

With the victory, OpTic Texas lift the CDL Major IV trophy after an unforgettable Championship Sunday. The Green Wall battled through the Lower Bracket Final before surviving a thrilling seven-map Grand Final against Los Angeles Thieves, capping off one of the most dramatic Major finishes of the season.
