It Unlocks As You Play, Not All At Once
One thing worth knowing before you decide which edition to put money down on: none of this content is handed to you on day one. Rockstar has confirmed that Ultimate Edition items, vehicles, shops, the works, unlock progressively as Jason and Lucia work through each chapter of the story. So if you were picturing a garage full of bonus cars the second the title screen loads, that's not how it's structured.
Six Vehicles, Including a Boat With Its Own Weapons Stash
The vehicle list leans heavily on Jason's side of the story. There's a '95 Grotti Cheetah done up in a retro-futuristic livery, a green Dinka Enduro dirt bike parked at his safehouse, and an orange Crest Kayak sitting right alongside it. His Vapid Ganado gets an exclusive Retro Build modkit, and a '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy comes stored at the Paradise Garage in Watson Bay, which doubles as a weapons locker and a place to stash stolen goods. The standout might be the Shitzu Squalo, a pink-and-blue watercraft docked at Washington Beach that ships with its own crate of explosives.
Engraved Sidearms for Both Leads
Weapons get the same custom treatment. Jason and Lucia each get a Hawk & Little Morgan Revolver styled after the Vercetti Estate, complete with a scope and palm-tree grips, a nice nod for anyone who remembers Vice City. On top of that, Jason gets a personalized Girardi ES9 and Lucia gets her own engraved Klose K17 pistol.
Five Shops You Can't Visit Any Other Way
This is where the Ultimate Edition does most of its heavy lifting. Rideout Customs Mod Shop handles interiors, rims, and donk-style builds for regular vehicles. Sara's Unisex Hair Salon covers new hairstyles for both characters, plus facial hair for Jason and makeup and nails for Lucia. Stock 305 in Stockyard is a standalone clothing store with its own line of streetwear, and the Electric Fang Tattoo Shop next door offers more than fifty tattoo designs created by the artist collective FAILE. Out by Lake Leonida, One-Eyed Willie's Mod Shop rounds things out with off-road builds and hand-painted finishes.
Two Side Hustles Tied to the Edition
Beyond the cosmetics, Ultimate Edition owners get two extra activities. The PTT Youngin$ Illegal Goods Store is a raidable compound belonging to one of Southside Vice City's more active gangs, good for unique contraband if you're willing to go in loud. There's also a Classic Car Collection Special Commission, where a fixer named Wyman sends you hunting for abandoned classic and unfinished project cars to restore.
Two Wardrobes: Vice City Style and Goodtime Gear
Apparel comes in two themed sets. Vice City Style adds exclusive outfits and tattoos pulled from that era's aesthetic. Goodtime Gear is the weirder one, a line of clothing and accessories built around Macca the Gator, the in-universe TV mascot from the fictional Goodtime State.
Don't Confuse This With the Vintage Vice City Pack
One thing that's tripping people up: the Vintage Vice City Pack is not part of the Ultimate Edition. It's a separate pre-order bonus that comes with either edition, Standard or Ultimate, as long as you pre-order before launch. Buying Ultimate doesn't replace it; you're getting both if you pre-order the Ultimate Edition specifically. Rockstar leans hard into the nostalgia angle for this one, going as far as to describe it as a welcome back to the era when the neon burned brightest.
The centerpiece is a '55 Vapid Stanier sedan, parked in a personal garage called Shore Court just off Ocean Beach. Like the Ultimate Edition's garages, it comes with its own weapon locker and a secure spot to offload stolen goods. On the wardrobe side, Jason gets a linen suit in a vintage pastel shade with a matching haircut, while Lucia gets a red sequin mini dress and curls to go with it, both clearly built to evoke the look of the original Vice City era rather than anything modern. The pack also throws in a weapon pattern Rockstar is calling "Channel the Original Kingpin," a tropical print that mirrors Tommy Vercetti's palm-tree shirt and can be applied to most guns in the game.
